The ports we support are 6667 standard and 6697 for SSL connections supported by
all servers. Feel free to use your local (+ssl) server directly to guarantee your privacy
and top performance of your connection to our network. :)
AustIRC IRC Servers Status
We currently have 10 IRCDs for the public. That should
be sufficient to handle the user load for now. But if you have a shell/server and would like to link
with us, you're most welcome. We're a strong and stable network always looking to expand further.

I think this is one the really BIG reasons for the snowball/onslaught
of Linux and the wealth of stuff available that gets enhanced faster
than the real vendors can keep up.
